Eiyuden Chronicle Rising is set to release soon for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Games Pass, Nintendo Switch, and PC ( Steam, Epic). Developer Rabbit and Bear Studios and publisher 505 Games have delayed the release date of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes to Q2 2024 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5. Rising was announced at E3 last year as a spin-off to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (which releases in 2023 and is the Suikoden spiritual successor). The gameplay walkthrough can be found below, primarily showing a lava-based level, boss battle, and some dialogue. There is also a town-building element, where you not only level up the trio, but also the town of New Nevaeh, as well as your exploration tool. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is an ode to the classic Japanese RPG genre from the PlayStation era that will feature classic Japanese RPG exploration and battles in high-resolution 2.5D. ![]() The name of one character from the Eiyuden Chronicle franchise has been changed from JB to CJ. There will be some perks for players that link the game with Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Also revealed is Eiyuden Chronicle Rising, a spinoff game that will be launching in 2022. The footage below shows Rising's sidescroller gameplay, featuring three playable characters in the slow-but-heavy-hitting Garoo, the nimble climbing-ax-wielding CJ, and the magic-slinging Isha. The game will introduce a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle’s cast of characters in an original story with thrilling action and engaging town-upgrading elements. Gameplay consists of a turn-based battle system with parties of six characters. ![]() Since development on Hundred Heroes was going to take several years - not planned for release until 2023 - creator Yoshitaka Murayama decided to release a spinoff game in the meantime, introducing the Eiyuden world while offering a different style of gameplay. ![]() For the uninitiated, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a spinoff of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, a Suikoden series spiritual successor Kickstarted in 2020.
